Economy may be having effect on abandoning pets (Mid-Hudson News)

KINGSTON – The economic downturn has had an impact on the number of pets being abandoned. Ulster County SPCA Executive Director Brian Shapiro said more and more people are abandoning their cats and that is taxing his organization’s resources.
